Welcome to the “official” R&R website. It’s not a website in the strictest sense, as we’re using Tumblr here, and will not have any super exclusive content that you can’t find anywhere else. But we still get to call it “official” because Ramen & Rice has condoned my creation and maintenance of it. If we’re lucky, one of the two of them will even occasionally give me something to announce. So there. ;x

Please use “Ramen & Rice” in the subject line. Please do not e-mail me asking for R&R’s contact info and no other reason; I will not give it to you. If all you want to do is tell R&R how awesome you think they are, I will be more than happy to pass that message along for you.

I do have Google Talk and AIM, but do not recommend using these methods to contact me, as I get a lot of spam instant messages and usually ignore anything coming from a screen name I don’t recognize.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does R&R have any mp3s I can download or a CD that I could purchase?

No. R&R have not recorded any music for public consumption and they have no plans to ever do so. (Please put away your recording contract offers now.) There are a great many copyright infringement issues involved with such things and nowadays, R&R barely has the time to make the occasional convention, let alone sit down and record something they’d feel comfortable releasing.

Where’s the sheet music?

There is no sheet music. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. We do not have sheet music here. Please do not e-mail me to ask “how do I get the sheet music”, because it doesn’t exist here. If you’ve ever seen R&R play during convention (or watch any of the YouTube videos), you’ll know that they never use sheet music and they don’t use sheet music to learn how to play songs either, since they arrange the music completely by ear.

Can R&R come play at my <convention, wedding, birthday, graduation, awesome event>?

Possibly! There are a number of planets that must be aligned in order for R&R to be free to come to your event, one of which is location: R&R are local to the San Francisco Bay Area, so the farther away you are from there, the less likely R&R will be able to make it. I should note that while financial compensation is almost certainly necessary for these excursions, this is not their primary concern, so please do feel free to contact me in order to find out whether or not your event might interest them.

First off: you’re awesome for being such a longstanding fan that you actually know and remember what the old website looked like.
